Ch 8

1. Chapter was Security issues, ethics, and Emerging Technologies in education this to me is the most important chapter becuase now that our lifes are based around computers we must have the security to protect what we value and this chapter gives you some safe guards on how to make your computer more safer. This chapter gives you the background on many viruses. The back up is the ultimate safeguard againist computer viruses and hackers. I find the computer ethics for educators very interesting.
2. The new skill i learned this weak was powerpoint. I had a good background in powerpoint but now i feel im more confident in useing the software.
3. I would like to share that i feel that the way our technology is going is good, only if we have a limit on how far we our willing to go so that we do not have to work to hard.

Blog on ch 6

1. In chapter six there a lot of things that I did not understand. Curriculm intergration was cool but evey thing els seemed to go over my head.
2. This past week I learned how to create a wiki site which was really cool. I learned a very creative way to make teaching students easier. The wiki helps a lot in our age of technology.
3. I would like to share that wiki was very hard to get a first but when i got it turned out to be real effective.

Chapter 5 blog post

1. Chapter 5 integrating digital media and Educational software Applications . This to me sounds like a good idea but in all fairness only a had full of kids can afford things like electronic books, digital newspapers, and virtual reality in the class. Yes these things will add to your learning ability but with some schools today that can not even keep with recent text books how can pay for this technology. Lets move on to distance learning, the books defines this as delivery of education from one location to a remote location, i do not agree with this either you need the hands on experience of a teacher because you never know what problems the child might have with the material and if the teachers not there to pick up on it who is going to know. In all the chapter has creative ways of teaching but i just do not think we are ready for them on a national level yet.

2. The most recent skill i have learned is making web evaluation sheets and so far this is the most boring thing i have learned.

3. I like to share one thing, maybe if we stop trying to make teachers who are high tech and focus on them being better teacher our children would learn more.

blog assignment ch 7

1.Chapter seven Evaluating Educational Technology and Intergration Srategies, was a very eye opening chapter. Befoe this class I thought that all teachers created there lesson plans and evaluation sheets, but now I see that you can require these things on-line. This is a great help to being teachers like me who does not know the format of a lesson plan or rubric. The chapter also gives you some of the websites on-line that help you have a more interesting and visual lesson plans with programs such as Inspiration. It shows you that teacher can have fun with learning and that is always good.

2. The new skills I have learned have not helped me so far but they do give the confidence that I will be a head of those who do not now all the things that MS Word and Exel can do. I really believe that these skills are putting me a head but allowing me have presentation, papers and other things that have order and look well when presented.

3. I would like to share that I did not like the MS Word sam assigment I found it very problematic and in some parts a waste of time. Hopefully the next few SAM assignments will not make me feel like this. All in all I like the class.
